Some Very Early Signs Of Pregnancy

Are you really pregnant? For some women, they experience symptoms of pregnancy even in the early days of conception. This, however, may not be the situation of different women. The only way to know if you are pregnant is by taking a pregnancy test. It is time to consider a pregnancy test once you begin to feel some of these very early pregnancy symptoms.

Missing Your Period

Missing your period, especially if you’re used to a normal cycle, can be a sign that you are pregnant. Your breasts swell. If you have tried to conceive, one of the very early signs of pregnancy would be the swelling of the breasts. On the second week of conception, hormonal changes can cause your breasts to feel tender. Tingling and a sensation of pain are common. Some even feel that the breasts become fuller and heavier.

You always feel tired. Fatigue can also be experienced as an early symptom. During the early stages of pregnancy, the progesterone level will shoot up. With such a high dose of this hormone, you’d feel sleepy. It gets even worse when your blood sugar and blood pressure begin to drop as the production of blood increases.

You have cramping during early pregnancy. These would also be early symptoms of pregnancy. Implantation bleeding occurs when a fertilized egg is attached to the lining of the uterus on the tenth day after fertilization. Some women mistake implantation bleeding for the menstrual period. Take note that implantation bleeding comes earlier, and is lighter in color. Abdominal cramps can also be experienced by some women. These cramps feel almost the same as your menstrual cramps.

Some women experience nausea. Others experience nausea with vomiting. More often than not, this symptom may attack at any time of day or night, but is most evident in the morning. Some women feel like throwing up in the morning when eating food on an empty stomach. This discomfort can start from the second week after conception. Pregnant women also develop a sharp sense of smell which makes them sensitive to certain flavors. Some women feel dizzy and nauseated when they smell cigarette smoke, perfume, food and so on.

You get unnatural cravings. Most women get cravings during the first trimester of pregnancy. This, again, is due to hormonal changes that occur in the body. When you’re pregnant, you may find yourself eating unusual foods.

Other very early signs include headache, constipation, mood swings, dizziness or fainting and basal body heat to name a few. If you have any of these early pregnancy signs, talk to your partner and receive a confirmation by performing a pregnancy test. Again, it is strongly advised to take the blood test as it more accurate.
