Weight Loss Tips for Women at 40

Most women aged 40 and above are having a hard time losing weight and this is due to various factors that are hindering weight loss. This can be due to a hectic schedule between work and family, or due to the aging process or various health conditions. However, no matter what the reason is, it is still possible to lose weight by changing some lifestyle habits. Here are some tips on how to lose weight fast, even if you are already at the age of 40 years old and above:

  • Calculate your BMI and determine how much the excess weight is. Make sure to get your body measurements to see the changes, particularly in the thighs, calves, abdomen, hips, forearms, bust, neck, and upper arms.
  • Find a healthy diet regime that will best suit you as well as an exercise program that you can do on a regular basis.
  • Make a list of the foods that you can include into your diet. Ensure that do not include foods that are sugary, junk foods, coffee and sodas.
  • Opt for healthy snacks such as fruit and vegetable slices, especially if you are feeling hungry in between meals.
  • Avoid using too much oil in your recipes. As much as possible, steam, bake, grill, or boil your foods instead of frying it.
  • Opt for various exercises that you can do even when you are at home. Concentrate on these exercises in order to help you lose weight.
  • Walking is a helpful exercise, especially when being done for at least 30 minutes, 3 times a week. Once you get used to this, include jogging and running exercise to add more intensity to your exercises. When you do this, make sure to bring cold water with lemon juice to help you boost your metabolism and avoid dehydration.
  • Spend at least 15 to 20 minutes jogging and include strength-training exercises into your routine if you can. You can also make use of standard weight and perform weightlifting exercises to tone your muscles.

Following these weight loss tips can help you lose weight faster and maintain a healthy body. Make sure to give yourself some time to adjust to your new lifestyle and avoid looking for immediate results. Take note that it would take some time for you to see the result of your diet and exercise routine, especially if it is your first time to do it.
